SACC is hosting it’s 13th Annual Junior Talent Show Contest.
Send any talented kids to the SACC office to register or print out a form and bring it by the SACC office with your entry fee.
Age groups are from 6-10 years, 11-14 years and 15-18 years of age.
Grand Prize is a $500.00 Savings Bond
Kids will be judged on their Originality, Technical Ability, Costumes and Stage Presence.
The talent show will be located in the Festival Tents on Pioneer Blvd & Hoffman Ave

MFF Band – Responisible Party

Responsible Party hails from Portland, but this 5 piece mega-talented band can rival any group in the Northwest. From the minute Responsible Party takes the stage, they deliver one favorite after another with a unique style all their own. Responsible Party promises the best in rock, pop and a smidge of country thrown into the mix.
Fronted by lead vocalist Shelly Hertel, the tall brunette beauty controls the stage with ease, captivating you with her hot, soulful voice as she draws the audience into the performance.
The band which is comprised of seasoned, gifted musicians Charlie Cook, Ron Reedy, Mark Hertel, and Dave Brown, serve up a tight, fluid sound and harmonies not to be missed.
Responsible Party will be playing at the Sandy Music, Fair & Feast on Friday, July 9th from 6pm to 8pm.

MFF Band – Rodeo Rose

Rodeo Rose is a female-fronted, high–energy country/rock band that plays everything from country and rock classics to the songs you hear on the radio today! Best known for putting on popular Rocked-out Country Shows, they are also steeped in Classic Country, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, and Oldies.
Rodeo Rose Delivers! The music is familiar, fun, and furious, but also heartfelt and sincere in the same breath. The band prides itself on putting on a unique and professional performance while making sure that everyone in the house goes home happy.
Rodeo Rose will be preforming at the 2010 Music, Fair, & Feast on Friday, July 9th from 8pm to midnight, and Saturday, July 10th from 6pm to 9pm.

Music, Fair & Feast Band Line Up

Join us for the Sandy Music, Fair & Feast in downtown Sandy Civic Plaza on the Corner of Hoffman Avenue and Pioneer Blvd!
The festival runs from July 8, 2010 to July 10, 2010 and showcases some very talented musicians in the beer and wine garden. This year will bring some amazing talent to the City of Sandy, with music for all to enjoy.
Thursday, July 8th
Family Night
Open to all ages from 5pm to 11pm, featuring the Anything Goes Band.
Anything Goes plays a variety of classic rock tunes from the 50’s through the 90’s from such artists such The Beatles, The Doors, CCR, Elton John, Santana Neil Young and Bob Seger.
Friday, July 9th
Features Responsible Party from 6 to 8pm, a five piece mega-talented band that can rival any group in the Northwest.
Responsible Party promises the best in rock, pop and a smidge of country thrown into the mix.
July 9th you can come to mingle with friends while listening to Rodeo Rose Band from 8pm to midnight.
Rodeo Rose Band is a female fronted, high-energy country/rock band that plays everything from country and rock classics to the songs you hear on the radio today.
Saturday, July 10th
Three different musical groups at Civic Plaza. Nobody’s Bizness from 3 to 6pm, Rodeo Rose from 6 to 9pm and Crush from 9pm to midnight.
Nobodys Bizness Band shows off the sassy voice of Miss Kelly Halter singing a versatile selection of music from blues to pop music.
Crush is a four piece classic rock band that features music from the 80’s and 90’s. Crush live sets include cover songs from Metallica, Van Halen, AC/DC, Journey, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard and much more.

Junior Talent Show Contest

The SACC is proud to announce the 13th Annual Junior Talent Show Contest.
The event will be held on Friday, July 9 in the festival tents on Pioneer Blvd & Hoffman Ave. The contest runs from 2pm to 4pm.
Who Can Participate?
Any youth from 6 years old to 18 years old can participate in the talent show. There are three Age Groups:
- 6-10 years old
- 11-14 years old
- 15-18 years old
How Are They Judged?
There will be four criteria for judging:
- Originality
- Technical ability
- Costumes
- Stage presence
All types of talent acts are welcome.
Tell Them What They’ve Won
The grand prize is a $500 savings bond.

Chamber Info and Photographer Champagne Reception during Spring Into Town!

Come learn about the Sandy Area Chamber of Commerce during the first 1 1/2 hours of Spring into Town tomorrow! Our director and staff will be here to answer your questions and explain the benefits of chamber membership. Come meet members of our board and network with current chamber members, and enjoy beverages and refreshments.
We will also be hosting a champagne reception for Gary Randall, a local photographer and chamber member on exhibit. Come meet Gary, snack on refreshments and marvel at his work between 5-9pm!
