SBDC – New Business Start-Up Program

The Small Business Development Center is offering the New Business Start-Up Program this winter.

Ready to start your own business or become self employed? The New Business Start-Up Program will help you plan and launch your own small business successfully! This Program includes business plan software, learning material, 30 hours of training and up to 20 hours of individual business coaching.

Selection Criteria:

· Innovative business idea
· Previous work or business experience preferred
· Good credit history

Application process:

1) Complete SBA Going into Business Checklist, obtain check list by going to www.mhcc.edu/sbdc
2) Complete Business Start-up program registration (You will not be registered until accepted into the program) Download registration form by going to www.mhcc.edu/sbdc
3) Mail to 323 NE Roberts Ave, Gresham, Or 97030 or Email to
bizcenter@mhcc.edu the completed registration and checklist.

*Program funded by the 2011 SBA Jobs Bill. Total program value $2000

The Business Growth Series offers specialized training and business counseling to new and existing businesses. The Business Growth Series modules include:

Planning – How to manage the day to day details of running the business
Marketing – How to attract your target customers and promote your business
Finance – How much working capital (cash) do you need and what are your bookkeeping, accounting, cash flow and tax needs?
Management – What are your staffing needs and how will you build a winning team?
