BBB Quick Response Codes
Did you know that the Better Business Bureau offers Quick Response (QR) codes to BBB accredited businesses?
What is a QR Code?
The QR code is a matrix (two dimensional) bar code that can be used to provide information to those who scan it. It can provide anything from your contact information to promotional ads to reviews.
How Do You Use QR Codes?
QR codes are typically scanned with your smart phone. You would snap a picture of the code, and, using an app that reads the code, you can get the information right to your phone. Depending on the function of the code, you may add contact information to your contacts or you may be taken to a link on a website.
How BBB QR Codes Work
Businesses can post QR codes on storefront windows, websites, advertisements, coupons, products, maps and other items. Consumers who have downloaded QR Code Reader applications or “Apps” on their web-enabled smartphones—Androids, iPhones or Blackberrys—can physically scan QR codes with their mobile devices and be taken straight to BBB Business Reviews.
How to Get Your BBB QR Code
BBB can provide a unique QR code that instantly links to your business’ BBB Business Review, allowing consumers to digitally verify BBB Accreditation. For more information, please contact your Accredited Business Services department or claim your BBB Business Review to find the QR code option.
