Working in the helping professions can be a difficult task. Many times it is hard to help people who have difficulty communicating their needs during times of intense stress and personal crisis. This training is designed to help you understand why people respond the way they do during stressful times, and what you can do to maximize the potential for a successful communication process and positive outcome.
These workshops are sponsored by 211info and its regional partners, the information and referral programs at Community Action Organization of Washington County and Clackamas County Social Services. The goal of these trainings is to offer affordable, high-quality trainings to professionals who provide information and referral as a key component of their work.
211info produces community trainings for social service providers throughout the year. Approximately 50% of the proceeds collected from trainings helps support the free 2-1-1 telephone information and referral service. Total contributions are based on number of training participants.
