Sandy
Actors Theatre has
a very talented group of actors who work very hard and
enjoy putting on four plays a year. Right now Crazy
and a Half is playing through March 29th, 2008.
Sandy Cinema opened to the public on May 16, 2002.
The 8 screen,19,000 square foot movie theater features
state of the art picture and Dolby Digital Surround
Sound. Other
amenities that the theater has to offer include a large lobby and concession
area, plenty of parking, and a clean inviting family atmosphere.
During the summer months, the City of Sandy has
a fantastic line-up of concerts and movies offered
at beautiful Meinig Park, just behind City Hall. Its
easy to walk, ride a bike or take the free SAM to the
park for the free shows and performances.
Music in the Park - Ampitheatre was new for 2007!
The City was proud to showcase its brand new ampitheater
with an exciting new acoustic music series. This lovely
smaller stage provided the city with an opportunity
to>
host performers that benefit from a more intimate setting,
such as classical quartets, singer-songwriters and
groups playing classic music from different cultures.
Music in the Park - Main Stage is conveniently
located near the park's entrance at City Hall and Fantasy
Forest. Feel free to come early and bring a picnic. From
Cuban to Zydeco, Funk to Irish, concerts in the park offer
something for everyone.
Movie in the Park - Main Stage Area on Saturdays at
dusk, starting in August, movies will be shown in the park.
Bring a blanket or some lawn chairs and come experience
the thrill of watching a movie with your family surrounded
by tall trees and twinkling stars.
